Mr. A.Z. Hooker, 88, of 1419 Mcadoo Street, Kinston, NC peacefully closed his eyes into eternal peace on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro, NC.   Funeral services for Mr. Hooker will be held at 12noon on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Church of Faith and Deliverance (655 Sussex St) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4-6pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Mr. Hooker is survived by his children, A.Z. Hooker, Jr. of McDonough, GA, Trenia Miller (Uronus) of Kinston, NC, Cara H. Perkins of Manassas, VA, Alton Burton of Greenville, NC, Ronnie Hooker of Greenville, NC, Debra Hooker of Kinston, NC, Velma Hooker-Green (Willie) of Santa Rosa, CA, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
