Bennie Lee Brunton

Mr. Bennie Lee Brunton, 77, of Washington DC (formerly of Kinston, NC) closed his eyes into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the quietness of his home.  Funeral services for Mr. Brunton will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Church of Faith and Deliverance (655 Sussex Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (373 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held from 4-6:00pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Mr. Brunton is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Garner Brunton of the home, his children, Arlene Byrd (Keith) of Maryland, Tanya Garner-Burden (Marvin) and Benita Garner of Washington, DC, Bennie L. Brunton, Jr. (Ronda) of Maryland, Carlos L. Brunton (Rhonda), and a daughter, Sonja Matthews of Maryland, 2 sisters, Margie Brunton-Bell of Kinston, NC, Lillie Brunton of Ayden, NC, a sister-in-law, Audrey Dove of Maryland, 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
