Bertha Lee Hardy Johnson

Mrs. Bertha Lee Hardy Johnson “Baby Sis”, 96, of 1209 Cogdell Drive, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord early Friday morning, April 24, 2026, at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (311 East Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (1351 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 3-6pm at the funeral home.  

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Clarence Leander Jones, IV of California, Lauren Ashley Jones of Kinston, NC,Tia Rodgers, her devoted niece, Oveta Thompson of Atlantic City, New Jersey, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.  

Services of Love, Dignity, and Care are being rendered by Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.
