Carolyn Darden Swinson

Ms. Carolyn Darden Swinson, 73, of Waldorf, Maryland (Formerly of Kinston, NC) peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024, in the quietness of her home.  Funeral services for Ms. Swinson will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Viewing will start at 10AM and then the service begins at 11AM at Fort Foote Baptist Church (8310 Fort Foote Road) Fort Washington, Maryland.

Ms. Swinson is survived by her mother, Isabelle Barker of Albany, NY, her children, Shantese Swinson-Fenton of Bowie, MD, and Michael Duran of Fort Washington, MD, siblings, Maxine Meadows-Shuford, Alphonso Meadows Jr., and Jeffrey Meadows Sr. all of Albany, NY, her sister-cousin, Linda Darden Barnes, Clementine Taylor, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of Kinston, NC. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ross-Bluford Funeral Home (8001 Branch Ave.) Clinton, MD.
