Clara Ree Strong

Ms. Clara Ree Strong, 65, of 3510 Hugo Road, Grifton, NC peacefully closed her eyes into eternal peace early Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, in the quietness of her home surrounded by family.  Funeral services for Ms. Strong will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Augustus AME Zion Church (318 E. North Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in The Strong Family Cemetery (5874 Gilbert School Road) Grifton, NC with Military Honors.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4-6pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.  

Ms. Strong is survived by her 2 daughters, LaTonya Hodge, Brittney Hodge of Grifton, NC, her siblings, Brenda Strong-Exum, Grace Strong, James T. Strong all of Grifton, NC. Cardelia Strong of Kinston, NC, 6 grandchildren, aunts, Mary Moye of Kinston, NC and Susan Mungo of Virginia, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
