Deacon George Edward Sherrod

Deacon George Edward Sherrod, 75, of 1001 Roseanne Drive, Kinston, NC closed his eyes into eternal rest on Monday October 25, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC.  Funeral services for Deacon Sherrod will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Church of Faith and Deliverance, 655 Sussex Street, Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston, NC with Military Honors.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the funeral home from 3:00-6:00 pm.  DUE TO DELTA VIRUS AND COVID-19,  MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME,  CHURCH,  AND CEMETERY. 

Deacon Sherrod is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Sherrod of the home; his children, Shannon N. Sherrod and Steven M. Sherrod; his sister, Rosa McRae; two granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.
