Ms. Doris Marie Simmons, 79, of 9727 Mount Pisgah Road, Silver Springs, Maryland (formerly of Kinston) peacefully closed her eyes into eternal rest on Friday, September 13, 2024, in the quietness of her home surrounded with family at her bedside. Funeral service for Ms. Simmons will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Mount Jezreel Baptist Church (420 University Blvd.) Silver Spring, Maryland.
