Edna Louise Joyner Dobson

Mrs. Edna Louise Joyner Dobson, 101, of 311 Sherwood Drive, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord on Thursday night, April 23, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice in Goldsboro, NC.  A Celebration of Service for Mother Dobson will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at St. John Free Will Baptist Church (405 E. Blount Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be from 3-6:00pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. John Free Will BaptistChurch.  Masks are available.  

Mother Dobson is survived by her children, Viscurtine Hardy, Edward Jermone Dixon (Darice), Thelma Dobson Reed, her siblings, Minnie White, Shirley Durham, Clarence Joyner (Annie), 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.  

Services of Love, Dignity, and Care are being rendered by Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.
