Eleanor Elaine (Mills) Harvey

Mrs. Eleanor Elaine Mills Harvey, 75, of 5601 Gilbert School Road, Grifton, NC peacefully closed her eyes into eternal peace early Friday morning, June 19, 2026, in the quietness of her home surrounded with family.  A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Kinston Performing Arts Center (2601 N. Queen Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Mills Cemetery (1000 Browntown Road) Snow Hill, NC.  A Wake will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at St. Augustus AME Zion Church (318 North Street) Kinston, NC from 4-6:00pm.  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will perform at 5:30pm.

Mrs. Harvey is survived by her husband, Attorney Nicholas E. Harvey Sr., her children, Assistant Superintendent, Nicholas E. Harvey II, Dr. Loriel Mills Harvey, Willie A. Mills, her three grandchildren, Nicholas E. Harvey III, Jersey Faison, Dovonte Harvey Edwards Jr., her sister, Pastor Veronica Jackson, her brother, Amos Lawson, her aunt, Mattie Ruth Ambrose, her mother-in-law, Frankie Harvey, 3 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, former students, sorority sisters, church family, and countless friends.

Services of Love, Dignity, and Care are being rendered by Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.
