Ella Lanier Atkinson

Mrs. Ella Lanier Atkinson, 69, of 715 Barton Avenue, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2022, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.  Funeral services for Mrs. Atkinson will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church in (the Jason Community) LaGrange, NC.  Interment will follow in Hines Cemetery, LaGrange, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held from 3-6pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.  

Mrs. Atkinson is survived by her children, Robert Williams, Sammy Jackson, Sucora Anderson, Cassandra Sloan, and Beatrice Sloan, her siblings, Ora Lanier, Geraldine Williams, Fannie Ebron, Sandra Lanier, Ella Williams, and Terry Lanier, Sr., a god-sister, Jean Dixon, five grandchildren, two aunts, two uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
