Mr. Elmer King Coward "EK", 84, of 2003 Northview Dr. Kinston, NC entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.  Funeral services for Mr. Coward will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at St. Augustus AME Zion Church (316 East North Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70 West) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held from 3-6:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.

Mr. Coward is survived by his children, Natalie Williamson, Orlando Coward, Jr, his sisters, Marie Croom, Glenda Scratch, Brenda Lewis, brother, Charlie Coward, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
