Mr. George Raymond Keyes, Jr., of 1605 Sabra Drive, Kinston, NC peacefully transitioned into being nested with the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at UNC Health Lenoir Hospital in Kinston. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Spring Garden Missionary Baptist Church (526 Gladden Street) Washington, NC. Visitation/11:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the funeral begins at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Highland Drive) Washington, NC with Military Honors.
Mr. Keyes is survived by his dedicated sister/caregiver, Mrs. Marian Keyes O'Pharrow of Kinston, NC, nephews, Reverend Raymond O'Pharrow of Winston-Salem, NC, and Joseph O'Pharrow, Jr., (Earnestine) of Upper Marlboro, MD, niece, Syvera O'Pharrow of Waldorf, MD, great-niece, Adriane O'Pharrow of Greenville, NC, great-nephews, Joseph O'Pharrow III, (Brittany), and Douglas O'Pharrow, both of Upper Marlboro, MD, great-great nephew, Matthew O'Pharrow, and great-great niece, Kacy O'Pharrow both of Upper Marlboro, MD, a host of cousins, godchildren, and friends who loved him and the unique fire that he brought into their life.
