Hazel Jean Barnes Carmon

Ms. Hazel Jean Barnes Carmon, 78, of 11607 Neon Road, Fort Washington, Maryland (formerly of Snow Hill, NC) peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Virginia Hospital in Maryland.  Funeral services for Ms. Carmon will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church (311 Arba Jason Road) LaGrange, NC along with a viewing from 12pm-1pm prior to the start of the service.  Interment will follow in Snow Hill, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held from 3-6 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the funeral home. DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE  FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Ms. Carmon is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Carmon Smith (Rodney) of Alexandria, VA, her son, Larry Carmon of Ft. Washington, MD, her sisters in-law, Adell Carmon, Gloria Ann Speight, Marie Speight, Nina Carmon of Capital Heights, MD, one brother in-law, Willard Carmon (Betty) of LaGrange, NC, 3 grand daughters, Chaney Carmon, Ft. Washington, MD, Brielle Byrd of Colorado Springs, CO, Marketta Carmon of Savanah, GA, a host of nieces, nephews, Special Cousin, and “Like Family” friends.
