James Alpha Dunn

Mr. James Alpha Dunn, 93, of 3508 Sloan Drive, Kinston, NC closed his eyes into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023, in the quietness of his home.  Funeral services for Mr. Dunn will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Church Of Faith And Deliverance Church (655 Sussex Street) Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70 W) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  The Monics will perform their ritual at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH,  AND CEMETERY. 

Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife Pearlie Jean Dail Dunn of the home, his children, Marilyn Dunn, Nina Dunn, Margie Dunn, James Van Dunn, his step-children, Marshal Dunn, Hilda Snaden, Sancho Jones, his siblings, Leroy Dunn, Henry Dunn, Glennie Dunn, Pearl Oats, 22- grandchildren, 49- great grandchildren, 34- great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
