Jasper Nathaniel Powell

Mr. Jasper Nathaniel Powell, 97, of 300 Meadowland Drive, Hillsborough, NC (formerly of Kinston, NC) closed his eyes into eternal rest early Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, at Peak Resources Brookshire Nursing Home.  Funeral services for Mr. Powell will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at White Rock Presbyterian Church (514 Thompson Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery (917 Cleveland Drive) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Mr. Powell is survived by his daughter, Anita Powell of Franklinton, his son, Douglas Powell of Cary, NC, his sister Ruby Powell Davis of King Prussia, PA, his nieces, Alisha Davis of PA, Andrea Davis of Greensboro, NC, his nephews, Shelton Powell and Anthony Powell both of Lanham, MD, Geno Powell of Durham, NC, sister-in-law, Portia Powell of Durham, NC, a host of cousins and friends.
