Mr. Java Delaine Brown, 44, of 801 Thompson Street, Kinston, NC entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC.  Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be held 12 noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at United American Free Will Baptist Tabernacle (1011 Dr. JE Reddick Circle) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Church Cemetery (2478 Causey Rd.) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.  

Mr. Brown is survived by his father, Herbert Koonce, his sister, Kimeeka Koonce, his children, Jaleik Pridgen, Jakim Brown, Jahyra Dancy, Aaliyah Brunton, Cilicia Parker, Jahkel Brown, stepsister, Sheila Poole, stepbrother, Jemoy Poole, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
