Mr. Joe Nathan Parker, Jr, 73, of 1922 Hwy 258 N Kinston, NC entered into the joys of the Lord early Saturday morning, August 6, 2022 at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC. Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at United American Free Will Baptist Tabernacle (1011 J.E. Reddick Circle) Kinston, NC. Interment will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC (164 Longs Plant Farm Road). A Viewing and Wake will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 5-7:00pm at United American Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, with the Masons performing their ritual at 6:00pm. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 9am-9:45am. DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Bernice Styles Staten-Parker of the home, his daughters, Dora C. Wiggins, and Nicole Parker, his sister, Annie P. Stokes, stepson, Gregory Cooper, stepdaughter, Brittany Staten, adopted son, Frankie Branch, his aunt, Pauline Knight, five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
