Joseph William Mumford

Mr. Joseph William Mumford, 81, of 2072 Ham Street, Kinston, NC peacefully closed his eyes into eternal rest on Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro, NC.  Funeral services for Mr. Mumford will be held 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 10,2025, at Hickory Grove COC DOC Church (601 West Road) Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (373 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC. A WALK THROUGH will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the funeral home from 3-6:00PM. 

Mr. Mumford   is survived by his wife, Jennie Blount Mumford of the home, his children, Kenneth Mumford of Kinston, NC, Kathy Mumford of Goldsboro, NC, Nasty Hawkins and Shonika Mumford both of Kinston, NC, his siblings, Rev. Jimmy Mumford of Kinston, NC, Johnny Mumford of Browntown, Michigan, Daniel Mumford, Lester Mumford and Lottie Mitchell all of Kinston, NC, Jessie Lee of Baltimore, MD, Darnell Jones of Kinston, NC, 3- step children, 3-brother in-laws, 2-sisters in-laws, 12-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
