Laverne Young

Mr. Laverne Young, 51, of 612 Merriweather Drive, Kinston, NC closed his eyes into eternal rest Friday, August 15, 2025, at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Destiny Impact Ministries (710 Lincoln Street) Kinston, NC.  

Mr. Young is survived by his children, Deontae Lender, J’Na Haddock, his siblings, James W. Young, Christopher W. Young (Ashely), his only aunt, Lorraine Young Outlaw, 2 cousins / sisters, Betty Baker, Gloria Young, brother/cousin, Levon Outlaw, 4 grandchildren, 2 bonus sisters, Jacqueline Davis, Cantina Hawkins, 1 bonus aunt, Minnie Hawkins, 5 bonus children, special friend, Tyesha Ramos and children, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and 8 best friends.

Services of Love, Dignity, and Care are being rendered by Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.
