Mr. Letha “Boot” Ambrose, 92, of 108 N. Melvin Street, Kinston, NC closed his eyes peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in the quietness of his home surrounded by family. Funeral services for Mr. Ambrose will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (311 East Street) Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70 W) Kinston, NC. A walk-through viewing will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home. DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND OPTIONAL AT THE CHURCH.
Mr. Ambrose is survived by his son, Rodney Ambrose of Irvington, NJ, his daughters, Gwendolyn Ambrose of Irvington, NJ, Joan Edwards of Goldsboro, NC, his sister, Jean Jackson of Kinston, NC, sister-in-law, Mattie Ambrose of Kinston, NC, his granddaughter, Denita Grinnard of Franklin Park, NJ, two grandsons, Jamar Ambrose of Irvington, NJ, Antwon Taylor of Baltimore, MD, four great grandsons, three nieces, three nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
