Lillie Bell (Platt) Taylor

Ms. Lillie Bell Platt Taylor, 74, of 1000 Doctors Drive, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord Tuesday morning, May 12, 2026, in ECU Health Care Hospital in Greenville, NC.  A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at St. John Free will Baptist Church (405 E. Blount Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (1351 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  Masks are available.  

Ms. Taylor is survived by her children, Petheria P. Turner (Jeffery) of Grifton, NC, Anthony Platt of West Virginia, Angelia Flowers of Mitchellville, Maryland,  her brother, James Platt of Washington, DC, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
