Mr. Marquez Keyvonte Powell, 33, of 2710 Glenn Abbey Lane, Browns Summit, NC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.  Funeral services for Mr. Powell will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church (2660 US -258) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery (917 Cleveland Drive) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND THE CHURCH.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Jeree Holloway Powell, two daughters, Malayah Leeann and Aliyah Jayde Powell of Browns Summit, NC, his mother, Monique Powell Bennett (Curtis), father, Ricky Artis, Sr. of Snow Hill, NC, devoted maternal grandparents, Charles and Hurley Powell of LaGrange, NC, paternal grandparents, Ceasar Worthington and Elaine Artis of Snow Hill, NC, his sister, Miranda Artis, his brothers, Fernando Harris, Jr, Ferronte Harris, Ricky Artis, Jr, his uncle, Domonic (Jana) Powell of Winterville, NC, one niece, Jaida, two nephews, Malachi and Michah, and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
