Mr. Matthew Washington, 71, of 713 E. Caswell Street, Kinston, NC who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday evening, August 20, 2025, in the quietness of his home.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2394 Browntown Road, Snow Hill, NC.  

Mr. Washington is survived by his wife, Mabelle Mewborn Washington of Kinston, NC, his children, Arielle Sheftall (Marcus) of Rochester, NY, Quwanda Burnett (Martez) of Fairborn, GA, Daniel Weldon (Julie) of Snow Hill, NC, Sabrina Jones (Marcus), Easton Washington, Alma Washington all of Kinston, NC, his siblings, James Earl White (Christine), Alexander Washington, Cornelius White, James Lee Washington, Bobby Washington, Jeffery Washington, Joseph Washington (Deborah), 8 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Services of Love, Dignity, and Care are being rendered by Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.
