Mr. Livingston Hart

Mr. Livingston Hart, 82, of 907 Cunningham Road, Kinston, NC passed away on Wednesday, October, 11, 2017 at Signature Healthcare in Kinston, NC.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Faith Tabernacle United Holy Church with Elder Kimberly Millard officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Garden.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home.

Mr. Livingston M. Kate Hart was born June 18, 1935 to the late Starr and Macy Hart.  He was raised in Lenoir County and graduated from Adkin High School in 1954 where he was captain of the football team, who won the NC State Championship in 1952.  He was also an avid baseball lover and player, which lead him an opportunity to try out for the Boston Red Sox.  He played many years for the Kinston Grays.  He retired from A & P Supermarket as assistant manager after working there many years.  

Mr. Livingston was preceded in death by ten of his siblings, Gerthro Hart, Mary Ormond, Starr Hart Jr., Sarah Croom, Effie Mills, Vinetta Grady, Andrew Jack Hart, Bryant Hart, Amos Hart and Macy "Sai" Hart.  

He was joined in holy union to Gloria Hart on February 28, 1962. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Alginald Hart Sr. (Jan), Marcia Hart, David Hart, Gregory Hart and Cecilia Butler all of Kinston, NC.  Eleven grandchildren; Dr. Faneka Blackwell of Lithonia, GA, Leituo King, Bryan and Terry Butler and Shameka Issac all of Kinston, NC, Alginald Hart Jr., and Brian Newton of Greenville, NC, Renee Hart of Durham, NC, Terrell Sutton Jr. of Greensboro, NC and Tressie and Wann Jones of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews.
