Mrs. Monica (Joyner) Sykes

Mrs. Monica Joyner Sykes, 68, of 1024 Sycamore Road, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Funeral services for Mrs. Sykes will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist church in Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Memorial Gardens in Kinston. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sykes is survived by her son, Chevin Sykes of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Mrs. Monte Joyner Floyd of Tampa, FL, Mr. Bernard Joyner, Kinston, NC, Ms. Oveta Thompson, Atlantic City, NJ, Ms. Leytreciak Marshall and Mr. Burnell Frizzell both of Kinston, NC.
