Rosa Lee Hood Herring

Ms. Rosa Lee Hood Herring, 89, of 10715 Trafton Drive, Upper Marlboro, Maryland (formerly of Kinston, NC) peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in the quietness of her home surrounded with family.  Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (311 East Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (1351 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  

Ms. Herring is survived by her sons, William Alexander Herring, Vincent Bernard Herring, her bonus daughters, Lisa Shelton, Ida Millette Bulluck, her granddaughter, Angelique Herring, her brothers, Johnnie Hood, Jr, William Alfred (Snag), Frank, Edward, and Levon, her sisters, Joyce Fonville and Gloria Jean Parker, her sister-in-laws, Hilda and Velma Hood, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
