Mr. Roy Rogers Hines, 73, of 3261 Middle Street, Kinston, NC closed his eyes into eternal rest early Thursday morning, January 2, 2025, at 1304 Cozart Street, Durham, NC surrounded with family.  Funeral services for Mr. Hines will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Grifton Chapel COC DOC Church (502 Main Street) Grifton, NC. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery (917 Cleveland Drive) Kinston, NC.  A WALK THROUGH VIEWING will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Funeral Home from 3-6PM. DUE TO COVID-19 VIRUS INCREASE, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND THE CHURCH.

Mr. Hines survived by his daughter, Corona Kerr (Haile) of Durham, NC, his siblings, Sandra Hines, Cynthia Hines, Dessie Shackleford (Mike), Marilyn Koonce (Darrell), Iris Cannon (Frank) all of Kinston, NC, Terry Williams (Tom) of Zebulon, NC, Curtis Hines (Donnie), Calvin Hines, 4-grandchildren, 5-great grandchildren, a host of cousins and friends.
