Mrs. Ruby Lee Gooding Thomas, 57, of 2206 Stanton Road, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, December 4, 2022, in the quietness of her home.  Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Emmanuel United Christian Church (114 Lincoln Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery (1351 Old Asphalt Road) Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 3-6:00 pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Sylvester Thomas, Jr, of the home, her children, Tony Gooding, Shekey Gooding, Felicia Cobb, her siblings, Grace Austin, Danny Gooding, Aaron Outlaw, 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
