SGM (retired) Rudolph Valentino Barbour, 90, Kinston, NC entered into the joys of the Lord on Monday, September 26, 2022, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Funeral service for Sergeant Major (retired) Rudolph Valentino Barbour will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at River Of Life Christian Center, (301 N. Secrest Street, Kinston, NC). Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70 W. Kinston, NC). A walk-through viewing will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the funeral home from 3-6:00pm. DUE TO THE VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldyne Baker Barbour of the home, his children, Ruthie V. Cunningham, Gwendolyn B. McClain, Rudolph V. Barbour, Jr, stepdaughter, Lynn H. Harris, stepson, Guy T. Garrett, III, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
