Ms. Sallie Mae Banks Houston, 91, of 3506 Crestwood Drive, Kinston, NC, peacefully closed her eyes into eternal rest Monday night, May 15, 2023, in the quietness of her home. Funeral services for Ms. Houston will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 19, 2023, at First Missionary Baptist Church (801 E. Gordon Street) Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Gardens (2019 Tower Hill Road) Kinston, NC. NO PUBLIC VIEWING, per her request. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 18, 2023, from 3-6:00pm at the church. DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE CHURCH AND THE CEMETERY.
Ms. Houston is survived by her daughter, Tania "Lethia" Houston Williams (Kelvin) of the home, her sister, Lillie Mae Frizzell (Adolp), her grandson, Brandon Williams (Aviyah), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
