Theon Olean Murphy Jones

Ms.Theon Olean Murphy Jones, 82, of 404 Greenmead Drive, Kinston, NC peacefully closed her eyes into the joys of the Lord early Friday morning, March 8, 2024, at Greendale Forest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Snow Hill, NC.  Funeral services for Ms. Jones will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Peter Church of Christ (602 JP Harrison Blvd) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 Hwy 70 W).  A walk-through viewing will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Ms. Jones is survived by her son, LeRoy D. Jones, Jr (Claudine), her daughter, Ta’Nishia Jones Dixon (Kevin), her sisters, Lynette J. Walker and Jamane Yeager, her grandchildren, Tavion Dixon, Aniya Dixon, Brandon Highsmith, and Brittney Highsmith, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of beloved friends.
