Mr. Thomas Oneal Spruill "Spanky", 67, of 603 N. Adkin Street, Kinston, NC closed his eyes into eternal rest  early Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023 in the quietness of his home. Funeral services for Mr. Spruill will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at St. Augustus AME Zion Church (318 East North Street) Kinston, NC.  Interment will follow in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm with Military Honors (164 Longs Plant Road) Goldsboro, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 3-6:00pm at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.

Mr. Spruill is survived by his son, Brandon (Nancy) Spruill, of Raleigh, NC, son of Myra Ann James Spruill of Kinston, NC, his grandchildren, Braedyn Skylar, Rylie Olivia and Brandon Jr (BJ) all of Charlotte, NC, his sister, Nedra Jones of Washington, DC, his sister-in-laws, nephews, cousins, and best friends.
