Vanessa Lynn Freeman Ashley

Ms. Vanessa Lynn Freeman Ashley, 65, of Tampa, Florida (formerly of Kinston, NC) closed her eyes peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, May 13, 2022 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.  Funeral services for Ms. Ashley will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at First Missionary Baptist Church (801 E. Gordon Street, Kinston, NC).  Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston, NC.  A walk-through viewing will be held from 3-6:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the funeral home.  DUE TO VARIANTS OF COVID-19, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH, AND CEMETERY.  

Ms. Ashley is survived by her daughter; Shema T. Freeman, brothers; Proctor Harvey Freeman Jr., and Gary Freeman, sisters; Bonnie K. Freeman, and Sonya Y. Steedley, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
